I have heard that men in the US will change careers 4 times in his life’s. I am starting number three. For many years I loved and worked Food and Beverage. Easy money for a good server as the are called today. You can take off when you want. Short hours, pretty good food, and no responsibility. In my early 20’s I did homebuilding and kitchen remodeling. For a time I worked in retail.
As my 40’s approached I decided that it was time to settle down and get a real life. So I went to school got some computer training. Bought the duplex I was living in for investment (I did not want to move) plus the added income for the other tenet helped pay some of the bills. Went to work for a large car rental company in the corporate office.
Now that I am about to be 46 with the encouragement of Woofer and others I am going in to Real Estate. Woofer and I go to home openings all the time. We both love to see rehabbed homes and places. It is one of the reasons that I finagled an invitation to the grand opening of the Teresa Lofts in St. Louis. My friends Jim and Kevin work for the people doing the project.
So I started Real Estate school this week. I have teemed up with a very good Realtor.
I have my work cut out for me. This is going fun, I get to do what I love and get payed for it. Who could ask for any thing more?
